  • Hello my name is John C. Moore and this is my story, I’m a native from Brittons Neck, South Carolina, a rural community located approximately 35 miles from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I graduated from South Carolina State University on May 1995 with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering Technology. After graduation, I moved to Charlotte , North Carolina and held several Civil Engineering positions with gained experience in design/inspections/resolving issues of roadways, industrial railroads, building structures(to include low rise buildings, warehouses, office buildings, institutional buildings, residential buildings, military buildings, waste water treatment buildings, and non-building structures). Early years after moving to Charlotte, enrolled at UNC Charlotte to take engineering design courses to further strengthen my engineering knowledge capabilities.

Presently, I hold a position with a firm specializing in the design of Nuclear Power Plants with a home office here in the Charlotte region which I’m employed as Senior Civil/Structural Engineer designing nuclear power plant building structures and structures. Also, I am currently registered as a licensed “Professional Engineer” (P.E.) in the state of North Carolina in the area of Civil Engineering with a concentration in “Construction Engineering”. From 1995 to presently, I have over approximately 28 years of engineering experience with various infrastructures as mentioned previously. My real estate journey began in the summer of 2012 at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), Charlotte, NC with the completion of the mandated Real Estate Course and later passing the “Broker” North Carolina Real Estate License Examination on January 4, 2013. On January 11, 2019, I joined Mathers Realty as “Independent Contractor” with the position as “Realtor/Broker” currently Active/Licensed in the state of North Carolina.

Later on in my career, I decided to seek licensure in real estate in the state of South Carolina as it borders Charlotte to be able to support clients within both states and became licensed on December 21, 2021 (Active) as "Salesperson". With my vast knowledge in engineering, construction, and reconstruction, my end goal is to combine that experience to help provide you with the best services imaginable with your buying and selling needs. At a young age, I have always been fascinated with home building which I participated in vocational education in high school with a concentration in carpentry.

Upon moving to Charlotte, I was given the opportunity to work with a custom home builder for several months as an independent contractor hired to guide potential homeowners with the process/steps to building their own homes. For my latest endeavor, I’ve enrolled at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) Summer 2022 in their Architectural Technology Certificate program (18 Credit hour) with a “Specialization in Residential Architectural Technology” for residential building design. With completion of this certification in Spring (May) 2024, it has equipped me with knowledge on the architectural spectrum as it can and will aid in the buying and selling of real estate which can deeply only benefit my clients.
